I'm new
We were all new at Christ Church once! Here's what a fair number of us looked like before Covid:
What isn't obvious from this photos is that we now come from at least 12 nations, have a variety of backgrounds, and have people from every decade of life from new born to 90s. What unites us is knowing the love that God has for each of us, no matter how much we mess up.
We know it can be daunting going to a church service for the first time or after having been away for a long while. We try to make our Sunday services as welcoming and understandable to the newcomer as we can. When you visit on a Sunday our welcomers will answer any questions you may have and show you where to go. After each service most stay to chat and have refreshments, while the children have a chance to run around. Most of us are connected to a small group of others: we have about 10 homegroups which meet to support each other, to study the Bible together and help each other grow in faith. Some groups meet in the daytime, others in the evening. We also have termly Welcome Lunches to help give you a chance to meet others, and talk with more of the leaders, and see how to get more involved.
If you'd like to visit at a quieter time, feel free to drop in to the building and we will be happy to show you around and tell you about what goes on here. One of the team is normally around 8.30 - 4.30 on weekdays. Often one or more community groups are using the building too.
If you're new to church or Christianity and want to know more of what its all about, we run regular free courses to help you discover more and ask anything, with no pressure.
Whatever your situation, come and see if Christ Church can help you get more out of life. We would be delighted to see you.Get in touch: Let's Connect!
