Giving to Christ Church
The work of Christ Church Chineham, its staff and buildings, is financed by the generous contributions of its members. Making a regular financial contribution is not only biblical but a very practical way of being involved with the whole church and demonstrating commitment and support.
The Planned Giving Scheme (PGS) is the most helpful way to give regularly to Christ Church. Donations can be made monthly, quarterly or annually, and they can support one-off donations too. The donation, including any Gift Aid, is passed to us within ten days of collection. The Scheme gives you the option to give completely anonymously this way if you wish (see Matthew 6:3-5), to allow yearly increases in line with inflation. The System is secure, confidential and easy to use. To get started, either pick up a PGS pack from church, or sign up at the PGS website. You can change the amount you give via PGS at any time by phoning 0333 002 1260 or emailing them at info@parishgivingscheme.org.uk.
If you would prefer to make a one-off donation, this can also be done online through our Stewardship giving page, or through our donation terminal in the building. If you are a UK tax-payer then please fill in our Gift Aid form, which means we can claim 25% back from the Treasury.
A full financial report, audited accounts and annual budget are published each year and made available at the Annual Church Meeting. The elected Church Council oversees our finances throughout the year to ensure good stewardship.
