"Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you." (Nehemiah 9:5-6)

Christ Church is pleased to be part of the growing EcoChurch movement, led by A Rocha UK, aiming to do our part in caring for God's good creation, through our ministries. We do this because this is part of God's good work for us:

• "God took the Man and set him down in the Garden of Eden to work the ground and keep it in order." (Genesis 2:15, The Message)
• "The earth will become desolate because of its inhabitants as the result of their deeds." (Micah 7:13, NIV)

We have now achieved Silver status and are working towards a Gold Award. There are five areas covered by the project: Worship and Teaching, Buildings, Land, Lifestyle and Community.  If you would like to be involved or need further information, please contact us through the church office.

Each year we aim to bring a focus on several Sundays, including Climate Sunday, as well as getting involved with the local Basingstoke Green Week.
