Revd Ian Bentley

 Ian arrived as Minister at Christ Church in October 2005, having previously been Vicar of St Leonard's Eynsham and St Peter's Cassington. In his earlier ministry he had been curate at Emmanuel Northwood and Director of Training at All Soul's Langham Place. He is married to Ruth, a medical editor and writer, and they have two children, Anna and Philip. Ian is a keen follower of Kettering Town Football club, he regularly plays cricket and enjoys cycling.

Methodist:

Revd Margaret Locke-Wheaton 

- minister of Trinity Methodist Chuch, Sarum Hill and a member of the Basingstoke Methodist Circuit team

Margaret moved here in August 2006, as the Superintendent minister of the Basingstoke Methodist Circuit. She provides the Methodist input at Christ Church, and is also the minister at Trinity and St Andrews Methodist churches. Following a career in the computer industry, and a time as a layworker in the Reading and Silchester Circuit, Margaret trained for the ministry at Westminster College, Oxford. She then served in the Watford Circuit for 5 years. Margaret enjoys spending time with her family (she has a son living in Reading and a married daughter living in Coventry), and solving logic puzzles (such as Sodoku).

Church Council

The ecumenical Christ Church council acts as a Parochial Church Council, with members elected to the council for their gifts and commitment rather than in any relationship to denominational allegiances. In addition to representatives on the Basingstoke Deanery Synod, there are representatives from Christ Church on the local Methodist Circuit and URC District Council. The church council employs a part-time parish administrator.
