Christmas at Fest' Place 2011
From Monday 19 - Saturday 24 December christians from the churches of Basingstoke brought the message of Christ to the heart of the town - through craft, stories, puppets, music and a live nativity. Christ Church was a major supporter of the event. All the events were free and took place on the upper level of Festival Place by the escalators. The event was run with the Basingstoke Town Chaplaincy in association with Festival Place.

Christmas Tree Festival 2011
From 10-11th December Christ Church held its second Christmas Tree Festival. 39 groups from around Chineham displayed trees and hundreds of people came to view the trees, take part in the crafts and activities,enjoy a drink and cake with friends, and watch the concerts. The festival was opened with a brilliant concert by the Four Lanes Infant and Junior school choirs and the weekend was closed by the Hands up puppet team performing a carol concert.

Quiz with a Difference Nov2011
On 19th November Christ Church hosted a 'quiz with a difference'. Over 70 people turned up to challenge their senses and enjoy a fun night out. Teams of 6 people of all ages competed to smell, taste, feel, examine, listen to and mainly guess their way through the evening!

Shoebox Activity Morn Oct2011
On 28th October a Shoebox activity morning was held at Christ Church. The theme of the morning was 'change'. The children took part in a variety of activities which culminated with them loading 423 completed shoeboxes onto the Mustard Seed van. This charity will be sending our boxes to children in Moldova and other parts of Eastern Europe where they will be distributed to underpriviliged children, some of whom may never have received a Christmas present before.

24/7 Prayer Room Oct 2011
After the success of the 24/7 Prayer room in May, the Prayer Team have created another wonderful space for you to meet with God. Lots of creative ideas inside or just sit in the peaceful surroundings and let the Holy Spirit lead you.

Christ Church Golf Day Jul2011
The annual golf day took place on Thursday 21st July at Sherfield Oaks Golf Club. It was a great day of fellowship for Church members and their guests. Come and join us next year!

Ladies Camping Weekend Jun2011
Photos of the third annual Ladies Camping Weekend in June 2011. At Corfe Castle in Dorset. 17 brave ladies took part in this years camp, some for the first time. Come and join us in 2012 and make some new friends. Date for 2012: June 22-24.

24/7 Prayer Room May 2011
Linked to the Giving in Grace initiative. The Upper Room was transformed into an interactive prayer room for a whole week (day and night!)of prayer in May 2011. It proved so sucessful that it was extended beyond the original week.

Eden to Eternity Drama Mar2011
Photos from the Saltmine Theatre Company Production of "Eden to Eternity". Performed at Christ Church 18 March 2011. Part of the 400th anniversary celebrations for the King James Bible.

Fairtrade Cake Comp Mar 2011
On Sunday 6th March, we held a Fairtrade Cake Competition to mark FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT. Each entry had to be made with as many fairly traded ingredients as possible.

Puppets
Photos of some of Christ Church puppets. These puppets appear with the Hands Up - Puppets 4 Jesus group that are based at Christ Church. They are operated by a team of 9-17 year olds and regularly take part in services at Christ Church as well as other events round Basingstoke.
