Christianity Explored
This course is aimed at people wanting to know more about the Christian life and faith.
Eight weekly sessions cover questions like 'What is life all about?' and 'Who is Jesus?'.
-
You don't need to know anything about the Bible
-
You won't be asked to read out loud, pray or sing
-
You can ask any questions you like
Each evening will start with a meal, after which there will be a talk. You will have the opportunity to discuss any points that have arisen from the talk in a small group. There will then be coffee and cake followed by more time for discussion. You can ask any questions you like, but are also welcome to just sit and listen. Christianity Explored is suitable for everyone, from those who know nothing about the Christian faith to those who would like to brush up on the basics.
Please contact the Parish Office for more details and date of next course.
Lifeshapes

What is Lifeshapes?
Lifeshapes originated with Rev Mike Breen in St Thomas’ Crooks in Sheffield. It is based on the premise that Jesus wants to show us a better way to live. The simple truths of Lifeshapes make a passionate Christian life utterly attainable.
Biblical truths of how we can better follow Jesus are supported by everyday shapes to help us remember the lessons learned. The whole is aimed at providing us with the resources to grow as disciples throughout our lives. Along the way we will look at:
-
Growing in prayer through the Lord's Prayer
-
Sharing faith Jesus way
-
How we grow and bear fruit.
-
How we assess our spiritual well being
The sessions don't have a set format, but will involve:
-
Some input from Ian Bentley
-
Personal reflections from those who have already done Lifeshapes
-
Discussion time in small huddles
-
Time for reflection
Contact the Parish Office for details on when the next course is to run at Christ Church.

Jesus, me and you!
Wednesday 29 February 8pm for 5 weeks.
Not so much a course, but more a time during Lent for guided personal study and reflection on the person of Jesus Christ and our relationship with him. Either individually or in groups, we will have opportunities to work out the practical application of what it means to be a follower of Jesus in the world and the church. Five evening sessions of 90 minutes looking at Jesus as Son, Servant, Saviour, Sacrifice and Spirit-filled and what that has to say to us as his disciples. Starting Wednesday 29 February at 8pm – please sign up in the welcome area so we know how many people to expect, and if you have any questions please ask Ian Bentley, Gordon Randall or Ruth in the office.
